The NIDUS Blog: Introduction and Overview

Welcome to the NIDUS Blog!
The NIDUS Blog is led by the NIDUS Dissemination Task Force leaders, Andrew Auerbach, MD, University of California San Francisco, and Jan Busby-Whitehead, MD, University of North Carolina.
The goals of this blog are two-fold. First, we hope to provide informative and thought-provoking posts about delirium research, treatment, experiences and more. Second, we hope to use this blog as a dissemination point for information about research resources, training and funding opportunities, and other delirium news from both within and outside of NIDUS. Blog posts are contributed by a diverse group of delirium researchers and clinicians.
Some of the topics we plan to cover in this blog include:
  • Caregiver education & knowledge about delirium
  • Perception of delirious patients by family and hospital staff
  • Delirium incidence and severity in non-hospital settings
  • Delirium in people with stroke and other neurological disorders
  • Financial impact of delirium
  • Delirium and association with falls, etc
  • Technological innovations for delirium treatment or prevention
We hope you enjoy and learn from the content posted here. Our first posts will launch soon.
