Phenotyping Delirium: Current Evidence and Future Directions

Phenotyping Delirium: Current Evidence and Future Directions – Drs. Emily Bowman and Kelly (Potter) Toth discuss their research focused on delirium phenotypes and propose future areas for investigation in this emerging field. Debate persists regarding the relative merits of approaching delirium based solely on its core features as a manifestation of one common final pathway. Detailed characterization of the multifactorial pathophysiologic mechanisms underlying delirium is needed to guide the development of effective prevention and treatment strategies.  Access Dr. Bowman’s slides, Dr. Toth’s slides, and notes (with timestamps) from the presentation.
